Alexandre Jotterand

Senior Associate

Alexandre Jotterand primarily practices in the fields of advanced technologies, data protection laws (Swiss law and GDPR), and intellectual property, advising our clients in the development of their projects and representing them during court proceedings. He is also experienced in the fields of commercial transactions and corporate matters.

Alexandre Jotterand studied at the Universities of Geneva, Zurich and Basel. He holds a bilingual (French and German) Master’s degree in Law (MLaw; summa cum laude). He further holds a CIPP/E certification, which is the leading GDPR certification. He also completed several training programs provided by the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization), including in patent law, trademark law and software licensing (in particular open source). He worked in a business law firm in Geneva prior to joining id est avocats.

Alexandre Jotterand works in French and English. He is admitted to practice in front of all Swiss courts.

Alexandre Jotterand is a member of the Licencing Executives Society (LES-CH) and of the Geneva Association of Business Law (AGDA).
